A Conversation with Frank DeMartin, CEO of Apira Science, on the GroWell Red Light Therapy Cap

Q: Let’s expand on that a bit. You mentioned clinical studies. Can you tell us more about that research?

DeMartin: Absolutely. Unlike some so-called “trials” in the aesthetics space, our studies were true double-blind, placebo-controlled, peer-reviewed studies. They were not only presented at major medical conferences but also published in highly respected medical journals. We submitted our data to the U.S. FDA as well as health authorities in Canada, China, and Korea. This level of rigor ensures our customers can feel confident the technology truly works.

Q: What causes most people’s hair loss, and how does GroWell address it?

DeMartin: The majority of hair loss cases—in both in men and women—stem from genetics, specifically a condition known as androgenetic alopecia. It’s hereditary, and it can skip generations. The GroWell Cap doesn’t “cure” genetic hair loss, but it does treat it effectively. Q: How quickly can someone expect to see results, and how long do they last?
